NFC East Preview: Dallas Cowboys 2017

No team in the NFL was more exciting in 2016 than the Dallas Cowboys. After losing, Tony Romo for the season in 2015, there really wasn’t any expectations for this Cowboys team in 2016. The 2016 season started off with another injury to Tony Romo and the spark of something that may be special.             The injury to Tony Romo may have been the best thing that has happened to the Cowboys since trading Herschel Walker. I never want to wish injury on anyone but if Romo wasn’t injured in that preseason game the Cowboys would have never noticed Dak Prescott in real game situations. He would have been a back up to Tony Romo for three years. The Cowboys would’ve drafted another player in the first round and Dak would be searching for another team to play for. Dak owes Tony Romo’s back for his opportunity to start for the Dallas Cowboys. He won’t owe any of his success to Tony Romo. ...

NFC Preview: Washington Redskins

The Washington Redskins epitomize dysfunction! Firing the general manager after claiming that he was grieving over the death of his grandmother. Then reporting that he was back abusing alcohol.  Paying your quarterback Kirk Cousin $44 million over the last two seasons in guaranteed money without a long-term deal. Losing your two top producing wide receivers to free agency. The list of things that this organization has messed up would go on forever but they remain an average team. This team is two years removed from winning the NFC East division and making it to the playoffs. Despite all the dysfunction, they still seem to be on the fringe of making the playoffs. Many Redskins fans are excited about this team because they have had back-to-back winning season for the first time since the early 90s. I use winning season lightly because 8-7-1 isn’t a winning season in my book. Having one more win than loss is considered a winning season so technically I have to recognize it. H...

NFC East Preview 2017: Eagles

It was week three of the 2016 NFL season and Eagles were up on the Pittsburgh Steelers 10-0 in the second quarter. As that score scrolled across the bottom on my T.V I thought nothing of the game. I had no idea the Eagles would go on to destroy the Steelers 34-3. The Eagles shot out a cannon at the beginning of the 2016 season. They opened the season 3-0 and their rookie quarterback Carson Wentz looked like the real deal. Little did we know that they would go 4-9 in the remaining 13 games. The Eagles have plenty to be happy about going into this upcoming season.             First off, Carson Wentz appears to be legit! Wentz is a gunslinger and he loves to move around in the pocket. Some analysts say that Wentz struggled a ton last year with his mechanics. Coming from a smaller school like North Dakota State University, I would expect ...

NFC East: Giants

We are about a month and a half away from the start of the 2017 NFL football season.  This is the time of year when the craving for football intensifies. I don’t know about you all but I’m fending like a junkie! This is the best time of year to get familiar with all the teams in the NFL. I like now because fans haven’t had a chance to get emotionally attached to some 7 th round pick that won’t make the team. Inside writers haven’t begun to over exaggerate the performances of the back up players in training camps. Right now you can just google search whatever you want to know about a team and get some nice analysis about certain off-season workouts. You get predictions about a player’s contribution this upcoming season. I love stuff like that. I’m going to take this time to so a little research on the NFC East teams, starting with the New York Giants.     ...
